What alternators are compatible with this bracket?

This bracket features a dual bolt pattern that accepts multiple alternator types: Corvette alternators (1997-2013), truck alternators (1999-2013), Camaro/GTO alternators (1998-2002), and Camaro alternators (2010-2015). Note that Cadillac CTS-V/LSA alternators are not compatible.

What power steering pumps can I use?

This bracket works with Type II passenger car power steering pumps. Options include our Kwik Performance all-aluminum pump with 5.5" pulley (part #10206-06), Corvette pumps with 6.7" pulley, Camaro (98-02) pumps with 6" pulley, Camaro (2010-15) pumps with 6" pulley, and GTO (2005/2006) pumps. Some pump configurations require pulley adjustment or technical consultation—call us for guidance on Camaro 2010-15 and GTO applications.

Why is the power steering pump repositioned?

We've tucked the bracket in tighter than the factory Corvette configuration to provide better clearance for A-arms, frames, and other chassis components. The pump is also re-clocked to position the pressure port in a more convenient location for easier routing to your steering gear.

Where does the power steering reservoir mount?

The factory OEM Corvette reservoir mounts in its original location on top of the pump. The reservoir can be connected to the pump through our 90 degree feed hose K10561 or a straight ⅝” hose. 

What belt spacing options are available?

This bracket, K10166, aligns with Corvette (1997-2013) harmonic balancers.  Other belt spacings are available under other part numbers. 

What passenger-side bracket works with this setup?

This alternator/power steering bracket pairs perfectly with our Wide Mount HD AC bracket (K10470) and our Wide Mount Mini AC bracket, (K10673).IF you aren’t running AC, you can use your factory tensioner mounted on your water pump. 

What tensioner do I need?

This bracket works with your OEM tensioner mounted on the water pump. Compatible tensioners come from: Corvette (1999-2013), Cadillac CTS-V (2006-07 non-supercharged), Pontiac G8 (2009), Chevrolet SS (2013-17), Caprice PPV (2009-17), and Holden Commodore (2009-17).

What engines is this bracket designed for?

This bracket fits GM LS Gen 3 or Gen 4 engines with Corvette (1997-2013) harmonic balancer and water pump belt spacing. Other compatible engines include most Chevrolet crate engines, Cadillac CTS-V (2006-07 non-supercharged), Pontiac G8, Chevrolet SS, Caprice PPV, and Holden Commodore.
