Description

LS High and Tight alternator/power-steering bracket for engines with Truck/SUV (1999-2013) and Camaro (2010-15) crank pulley and water pump spacing. This bracket mimics the factory GM Truck Alt/PS configuration with a couple of swap friendly improvements for C10 and OBS LS swaps.

We have relocated the Idler pulley which allows for use of passenger car intake manifold and use of LS3 Camaro water pump. We tucked the power steering pump 9/16" inward for added frame and steering clearance. This gives same added clearance as 1-1/4" smaller power steering pulley, but with the added advantage of reservoir moving 9/16" inward as well. We gave the bracket a dual alternator bolt pattern to fit most LS alternators.

The K10611 LS High and Tight Alt/PS teams perfectly with our High and Tight AC bracket K10291 which uses the Sanden "mini" compressor. If you are wanting to reuse the R4 compressor from your OBS truck then mate it with our LS R4 AC bracket K10623.

If the larger Sanden compressor is what you need, use with our Wide-Mount AC bracket K10472. If your are running no AC -or- low mount AC, this bracket works with your GM tensioner mounted on water pump for Truck (1999-2013) or Camaro (2010-15).

General Compatibility

Which engines does this bracket fit? It is designed for GM LSGen 3 and Gen 4 engines with the belt spacing shown below.

What belt spacing is required? This bracket is specifically for engines using Truck/SUV (1999-2013) or Camaro (2010-2015) crank pulley and water pump spacing.

Will this work with a car intake manifold? Yes. One of the primary design improvements of this "High and Tight" bracket is the relocated idler pulley, which clears the way for passenger car or other low profile intake manifolds.

Component Specifics

What power steering pump do I need? You must use a GM P-series power steering pump. Kwik Performance offers compatible options such as the Standard P-series pump (6023R) or the Hydroboost version (6091R).

Which alternators are compatible? The bracket features a dual bolt pattern that fits:

  • Corvette Alternators (1997-2013)
  • Truck Alternators (1999-2013)
  • Camaro/GTO Alternators (1998-2002)
  • Camaro Alternators (2010-2015)
  • Note: It does not fit Cadillac CTS-V or LSA alternators.

What size belt do I need? The belt length varies based on your alternator rating and power steering pulley diameter and also whether you are using our AC compressor bracket on the passenger’s side.  Your installation instructions will include a suggested length and a Gates part number. You can also refer to the Gates Belt Chart provided by Kwik for specific part numbers.

Installation & Clearance

How does this help with frame clearance in swaps? The power steering pump is tucked 9/16" inward. This provides the same clearance benefit as using a 1-1/4" smaller pulley, but it also moves the reservoir inward to avoid steering gear or frame rail interference in C10 and OBS (Old Body Style) truck swaps.

Can I still run Air Conditioning with this bracket? Yes, it is designed to pair with several AC bracket options:

  • Sanden "Mini" Compressor: Use K10780 High & Tight, or K10675, Wide-mount Mini
  • Original R4 Compressor: Use K10623.
  • Large HD Sanden Compressor: Use K10472.

What is included in the box? The kit includes the 6061-T6 aluminum bracket (satin finish), the idler pulley, and all necessary spacers and zinc-coated fasteners.
