BBC Serpentine Package, Alt/PS P-series pump (No AC) - K10652

Q:  What components are included in the package?

• Brackets: CNC-machined 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum with a brushed satin finish.
• Hardware: All necessary spacers and zinc-coated fasteners.
• Pulleys: Water pump pulley and idler pulleys.
• Tensioner: Automatic spring-style tensioner.
• Adapters: SBC crank pulley with a BBC (1966–1993) crank pulley adapter.

Q:  What additional components are required for a complete installation?

A: The following parts are not included and must be sourced separately:

• Water Pump: A reverse-rotation "long" water pump (found on 1988–2000 454 engines). We offer a Gates PN 44030.
• Power Steering Pump: A "P-series" pump (1975–2013) with a smooth, press-on shaft (no keyway). We offer either a standard pump or a hydro-boost version with two return ports.  
• Power Steering Pulley: A 6-rib serpentine pulley compatible with the P-series pump (e.g., Part #300-200).
• Alternator: A CS130 serpentine alternator (standard on 1990–1995 GM trucks) or a compatible high-output 1-wire unit.  We offer a PowerMaster 140 amp.
• Drive Belt: A 6-rib serpentine belt.  Suggested lengths and Gates part numbers can be found in our installation instructions.

Q: What engines are compatible with the K10652 kit?

A: This system is designed for Big Block Chevy (BBC) engines, including Mark IV, Gen 5, and Gen 6 platforms. It fits both standard and tall-deck blocks ranging from 366 to 572 cubic inches.

Q:  Does this kit provide clearance for aftermarket components?

• Steering Box: The alternator and power steering pump are positioned "high and tight" on the driver's side to maximize clearance for large steering boxes.
• Valve Covers: The bracket geometry is designed to clear tall aftermarket valve covers.

Q:  What if my engine is a 1994–2000 model year?

A: The standard kit includes a crank pulley adapter for 1966–1993 Mark IV engines. If utilizing a 1994–2000 Gen 5 or Gen 6 engine, a different adapter is required. Contact technical support (417-955-1467) to ensure the correct adapter is supplied for your specific harmonic balancer configuration. 

Q:  Can an AC compressor be added to this kit later?

A: Yes.  You can do this one of two ways. 

One: If you know you want AC now, order one of our BBC kits that includes an AC compressor bracket, K10654 if you want the larger Sanden HD 709 or 508 compressor, or K10653 if you’d rather use the Sanden Mini compressor.

Two: If you want to add AC later, we can sell you just the AC side to replace the AC-delete  tensioner bracket that comes with this kit.  Those part numbers are not on our website but a phone call or email will get one of them on its way to you.
