AC Hose Kit (90-93) OBS Chevy - Sanden HD - K10670

508/709 AC hose kits include:

#10 suction hose (1/2” ID, 1” OD)

-90 degree swivel from receiver/drier

-135 degree swivel with service port to compressor

#8 high pressure hose (13/32” ID, 29/32”OD)

-135 degree swivel with service port from compressor

-Straight swivel connects to safety switch fitting

-Safety switch fitting

-Safety switch (can be wired as binary or trinary)

-40 amp fan relay

-Bent ½” hard line with #8 male and female swivels connects to condenser

-Dryer/Accumulator

Other requirements:

Sanden SD7H15 (709) AC compressor, Kwik partnumber 10300-01

Or Sanden 508 style compressor for BBC or SBCengines (not recommended for LS engines)

Q: What years of OBS Chevy , does this AC hose kit fit?

This kit is designed for 1991–1993 OBS Chevy trucks and will also fit some 1990 models that have a condenser with two male fittings. If your 1990 condenser has one male and one female fitting, you’ll need Kit K10708 instead.

Q: Will this kit fit my compressor? 

It depends on your compressor model. This kit works with Sanden HD compressors (508/709). If you have a Sanden Mini, you'll need Kit K10669, and for GM R4 compressors, order Kit K10671.

Q: What is the difference between a Sanden 508 and 709 and which should I use?

The Sanden 709 is recommended for LS series engines. It has slightly more capacity and seems to run smoother with LS engines.  The 508 has been the workhorse for aftermarket AC systems and works fine for BBC and SBC engines.  We offer the 709 since it costs only about $10 more than the 508.

Q: Do I need to purchase any additional parts? 

This is a complete kit with all installation components included: pre-bent hardlines, pre-crimped hoses, service ports, O-rings, dryer, PAG oil and a trinary switch. Clear instructions and wiring diagrams are also provided.

Q: Do I need special fittings or extra crimping for this kit?

No. All hoses and fittings are pre-crimped and clocked correctly, so you don’t need to source additional parts or make trips to a shop for custom crimping.

Q: Why is a trinary switch included in the kit?

This switch protects your compressor by shutting it off if refrigerant pressure gets too high or too low. It also has a built-in connection for adding an electric fan to boost your system's cooling capability.
