Description

High & Tight Serpentine Drive System for Your LS Swap

Featuring Sanden Mini AC compressor, Edelmann P-Series power steering pump and a PowerMaster alternator.  Works with LS truck and LS3 Camaro balancers and water pumps.

We’ve combined two of our most popular LS backets into a complete system.  It’s a narrow profile that works great in trucks, Jeeps, street rods and turbo applications.

On the driver’s side, we put a 165 amp PowerMaster alternator in the stock GM Truck location and an Edelmann P-series power steering pump tucked underneath with better clearance than the stock GM Truck bracket.

On the passenger’s side, we put the popular Sanden Mini compressor and a belt tensioner.

The belt path lines up with LS engines that use either a truck balancer and water pump or an LS3 Camaro balancer and water pump.

We even include a new six-rib serpentine belt.

Q:Does the Sanden mini make enough cold air?

The short answer is yes!

A proper capacity AC condenser is the real hero keeping you cool when it’s hot out there. The few exceptions to this would be 1960’s and later Suburbans and Station Wagons. Here is where you should start considering the larger compressor, see part number K10472.

Q: Why relocate the AC compressor for an LS swap?

GM made a fantastic engine with the LS design, but they didn’t always put the accessories in the best location for us engine-swapping hotrodders.

By locating the AC compressor in front of the passenger side cylinder head you solve the possible fender and frame clearance issues.

Q: Why use a genuine Sanden AC compressor?

Many OEM AC compressors are a “variable displacement” design and don’t work well with older OEM or aftermarket AC systems

The OEM compressors have a 4-groove pulley instead of the 6-groove needed when moving the compressor to a higher location.

Sanden is the aftermarket standard for AC compressors, recommended by most major AC manufacturers

Q: Will the P-Series power steering pump pulley clear my
frame rails?

Probably. Check the drawings on the web page for K10611. You’ll see that we tuck the PS pump closer in by about 5/8” compared to a stock LS truck bracket.  There’s also an overall width dimension you can compare with your engine bay.

Q: Can the PowerMaster but used as a one-wire alternator?

Yes, it can be used in a one-wire configuration or a conventional two-wire and a warning light.
