High & Tight Serpentine Drive System for Your LS Swap

Featuring Sanden Mini AC compressor, Edelmann P-Series power steering pump and a PowerMaster alternator.  Works with LS truck and LS3 Camaro balancers and water pumps.

We’ve combined two of our most popular LS backets into a complete system.  It’s a narrow profile that works great in trucks, Jeeps, street rods and turbo applications.

On the driver’s side, we put a 165 amp PowerMaster alternator in the stock GM Truck location and an Edelmann P-series power steering pump tucked underneath with better clearance than the stock GM Truck bracket.

On the passenger’s side, we put the popular Sanden Mini compressor and a belt tensioner.

The belt path lines up with LS engines that use either a truck balancer and water pump or an LS3 Camaro balancer and water pump.

We even include a new six-rib serpentine belt.

Q: What exactly is included in the K10741 "Complete System Package"? This is an all-in-one solution designed to take the guesswork out of your front-end accessories. It includes:

  • Brackets: Both the K10611 (Alt/PS) and K10780 (AC) bracket kits.
  • Accessories: A 165-amp PowerMaster alternator, an Edelmann P-series power steering pump (with pulley), and a Sanden Mini AC compressor.
  • Hardware & Belt: A curved 90-degree AC manifold, a belt tensioner, and the required six-rib serpentine belt.

Q: Which engine setups are compatible with this package? The belt path is specifically spaced for LS engines using Truck/SUV (1999-2013) or LS3 Camaro (2010-2015) balancers and water pumps. It is a "narrow profile" design, making it ideal for tight engine bays like those found in Jeeps, early  Chevy trucks, and street rods.

Q: Does the Sanden Mini compressor provided in this kit provide enough cold air? Yes. While smaller than standard compressors, it provides excellent cooling for most standard cabins. The key to AC performance is actually your condenser capacity. However, for very large vehicles like Suburbans or large station wagons, you might consider the K10472 which uses a larger HD compressor.

Q: Why should I choose this "High and Tight" package over a stock GM bracket?

  • Frame Clearance: We tuck the power steering pump in about 5/8" closer than the stock GM truck bracket to clear frame rails.
  • AC Relocation: Stock LS AC compressors are often mounted low, where they hit crossmembers or frame rails. This kit moves the compressor to the upper passenger side.
  • Turbo/Air Ride Friendly: The "High and Tight" placement leaves more room for turbo plumbing or "slosh tubs" used in air-ride setups.

Q: Can the included PowerMaster alternator be wired as a one-wire setup? Yes. The PowerMaster 48206 alternator is versatile; it can be used in a simple one-wire configuration or a conventional two-wire setup (though the plug is the earlier style 4-pin design) if you want to retain a dashboard warning light. 

Q: Do I need to buy anything else to make the AC work? The kit includes the compressor and manifold, but you will still need a vehicle-specific AC hose kit to connect to your evaporator and condenser. Kwik Performance offers several OBS Chevy Hose Kits that are designed to work perfectly with this Sanden Mini setup.
