Bolt-On A/C Hose Kit for 1988-1990 OBS Chevy Trucks (GM R4 Compressor). This hose kit is designed specifically for LS swaps where you are keeping your original R4 A/C compressor.

Connect to your factory AC system with new hoses designed specifically for 1988-90 OBS Chevy trucks. This kit requires a condenser with (1) male and (1) female connection at the condenser. 1990 was a changeover year, if your truck has two male connectors at the condenser check out our AC Hose Kit (90–93) OBS Chevy – GM R4 – K10671.

Hose kit includes:

#10 suction hose (1/2” ID, 1” OD)

-45 degree swivel from receiver/drier

-90 degree swivel with service port to compressor

#8 high pressure hose (13/32” ID, 29/32”OD)

-135 degree swivel with service port from compressor

-Straight swivel connects to safety switch fitting

-Safety switch fitting

-Safety switch (can be wired as binary or trinary)

-40 amp fan relay

-Bent ½” hard line with #8 male and female swivels connects to condenser

-Vertical AC manifold, Kwik part number 045024

-Dryer/Accumulator

  • We recommend waiting to install until ready to charge the system.

-PAG oil (8oz)

Q: What compressor works with this AC Hose Kit?

A: This AC Hose Kits works with the GM R4 compressor, if you have a Sanden Mini refer to our K10707, if you have the Sanden HD check out our K10708.

Q: Will this kit work with other AC brackets or compressors?
A: This kit is specifically designed to work with the Kwik Performance AC bracket (K10623) and a GM R4 compressor. Compatibility with other setups is not guaranteed. If you have questions, do not hesitate to give us a call at 417-955-1467.

Q: What if my truck has two male fittings at the condenser?
A: You'll need our AC Hose Kit (90–93) OBS Chevy – GM R4 – K10671, which is made specifically for that fitting configuration.

Q: Can I wire this kit as a binary or trinary system?
A: Yes. The included pressure switch supports both configurations and we provide wiring diagrams for each.

Q: Why do I need to wait to open the drier?
A: The included drier contains desiccant that absorbs moisture. Opening it too early can reduce effectiveness. Only open it when you’re ready to pull a vacuum.

Q: Is any custom crimping or hose cutting required?
A: No. All hoses are pre-cut and pre-crimped to make installation as fast and easy as possible.

Q: Will this kit fit a small block or big block engine?
A: This specific kit is designed for LS engine swaps. We offer other kits compatible with small block or big block setups.
