What driver’s side bracket works with this AC bracket?

Use with the Kwik Performance Idler Relocation kit K10618 which allows you to use a low profile intake manifold and 2010+ Camaro water pump with OEM truck alternator/power-steering bracket.

Don't want to spend time modifying, cleaning and painting the OEM bracket? Our K10611 (pictured) bracket allows you to reuse your alternator and truck "P-series" power steering pump. We also tucked the pump for added steering gear and A-arm clearance.

Alternatively, our Wide Mount alternator/ (Type 2) power-steering bracket K10168 allows more hood clearance and provides more steering gear / A-arm room.

• Check dimensions for fender clearance if application is early Truck or Street Rod.

 Can I reuse the R4 compressor from my OBS truck?

Yes. This bracket is designed specifically for OBS truck owners (1988-95) doing an LS swap. Remove the R4 compressor from your original truck and mount it directly to your LS engine using this bracket.

Will my existing AC hoses work?

No, you'll need different hoses to connect the R4 compressor in its new location. We offer ready-made, bolt-on AC hoses designed specifically for this kit and OBS truck applications. 

Can I keep running R12 refrigerant?

Theoretically, yes. es. If your original R4 system runs R12 and you want to keep it that way, this bracket lets you retain that setup on your LS swap. However, R12 is almost impossible to find, very expensive, and requires a certified technician to handle it.

What driver-side brackets work with this R4 AC bracket?

You have three options depending on your setup: the Idler Relocation Kit (K10618) for use with low-profile intakes, the HIgh and Tight Alt/PS Bracket (K10611) which re-uses your existing P-Series pump, or the Wide Mount Alt/PS Bracket (K10168) for maximum hood and steering gear clearance.

What belt spacing is this bracket designed for?

This bracket fits LS engines with Truck/SUV (1999-2013) or Camaro (2010-15) crank pulley and water pump spacing.
