Q: What is included in the OBS Truck LS Swap Complete A/C Package?

A: This comprehensive package includes our Kwik Performance LS Truck A/C bracket, a Genuine Sanden Mini compressor (SD7B10), custom application-specific fittings, and pre-crimped A/C lines and accumulator/drier. We bundled everything into one package to eliminate the hassle of sourcing individual components, matching line sizes, or guessing what will fit. It gives you a complete, bolt-on solution to connect a modern compressor directly to your truck's factory evaporator and condenser.

Q: Which model years is this A/C package compatible with?

A: We engineered this kit specifically for 1988–1998 Chevrolet and GMC "OBS" (Old Body Style) trucks. Because GM updated the factory A/C configurations over that decade, we offer this package in three year-specific versions to guarantee perfect compatibility with your existing factory setup:

Q: Which engine and accessory drive system does this kit fit?

A: This system is designed for LS truck engine swaps using the standard GM truck/SUV factory alternator and power steering pump bracket. Fits 4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L and 6.2L with truck belt spacing. It is also compatible with our Kwik High & Tight alternator/power steering bracket, K10611.

Q: How does this kit improve engine bay clearance and appearance?

A: Our bracket mounts the compact Sanden Mini compressor high and tight on the passenger side of the engine. This positioning provides excellent chassis clearance, avoids frame rail interference, and creates a balanced visual look that mirrors the factory driver-side alternator and power steering bracket.

Q: Are the A/C lines and fittings generic or universal?

A: No. We do not use generic, cut-to-length universal line kits that require you to buy expensive crimping tools or make trips to your local A/C shop. The included A/C lines are pre-crimped to the exact lengths required for your OBS engine bay, and the custom fittings are engineered specifically to bolt directly up to your factory OBS evaporator and condenser.

Q: What modifications are required for installation?

A: None. This is a true bolt-on installation that requires no cutting, drilling, or fabrication. You simply bolt the bracket and compressor to the engine, install a new serpentine belt, connect our custom lines to your OEM evaporator and condenser, wire the binary or trinary switch, and the system is ready to evacuate and charge.

Q: Can I keep my original interior climate controls with this kit?

A: Yes. This upgrade allows you to maintain your truck's original dashboard A/C configuration and controls while gaining the superior efficiency, smooth operation, and long-term reliability of a genuine Sanden compressor.
