AC Hose Kit (88-90) OBS Chevy - Sanden HD - K10708

508/709 AC hose kits include:

#10 suction hose (1/2” ID, 1” OD)

-90 degree swivel from receiver/drier

-135 degree swivel with service port to compressor

#8 high pressure hose (13/32” ID, 29/32”OD)

-135 degree swivel with service port from compressor

-Straight swivel connects to safety switch fitting

-Safety switch fitting

-Safety switch (can be wired as binary or trinary)

-40 amp fan relay

-Bent ½” hard line with #8 male and female swivels connects to condenser

Other requirements:

Sanden SD7H15 (709) AC compressor, Kwik part
number 10300-01

Or Sanden 508 style compressor for BBC or SBC
engines (not recommended for LS engines)

Q: What compressor does this AC hose fit?

A: This AC Hose fits the Sanden HD Compressor, We have other kits for the Sanden Mini and the GM R4. 

Q: Can I reuse my GM R4 compressor?
A: No, this kit supports the Sanden HD Compressor. If you want to re-use your GM R4 compressor see our K10709 or K10671.

Q: Will this kit fit my 1990 OBS truck?
A: 1990 was a changeover year. If your condenser has one male and one female fitting, this kit is correct. If it has two male fittings, use the 90–93 Sanden HD Kit – K10670.

Q: Does this kit support both binary and trinary switches?
A: Yes. It includes a trinary switch by default, which can be wired as either a binary or trinary based on your needs. A wiring diagram is provided.

Q: Do I need to crimp any hoses myself?
A: No — all hoses are pre-crimped and clocked, saving you time and tools.

Q: What else do I need to install this kit?
A: Just the compressor (either SD7H15 or 508 style) and one of our compatible Kwik brackets. A new dryer is required. The OEM liquid line will be reused. Everything else is included.

Q: Can I install this in a weekend?
A: Absolutely. With clear instructions and no need to hunt for parts, this is a true weekend install.

Q: Why shouldn’t I open the drier early?
A: The drier contains desiccant that absorbs moisture. If opened too early, it becomes ineffective. Only unseal it right before pulling the vacuum and charging the system.
